Extraction and Synthesis of Silicon Nanoparticles (SiNPs) from Sugarcane Bagasse Ash: A Mini-Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

This current study reviews the utilization of traditional extraction methods and latest findings in silica from agricultural wastes, particular, sugarcane bagasse, using inorganic acids to produce nano-silicon. The three key processes discussed detail include electrochemical, ball milling, sol–gel processes. bagasse has been identified as cheapest source producing potential raw material for preparation acid-base precipitation methodology involves use bases like sodium hydroxide (NaOH) potassium (KOH), such hydrofluoric acid (HF), sulphuric (H2SO4), nitric (HNO3), hydrochloric (HCl) treatment ash. Sugarcane notably emerged an excellent sustainable both tailored particles bioenergy production. ability manipulate engineered at nano-level bagasse-based is explained detail. Silica a significant with various industrial applications, much research underway extract it efficiently agro-waste, bagasse. production highly pure silicon nanoparticles ash will serve important synthetic route lowering manufacturing costs providing low-cost polycrystalline semiconductor niche application thin film solar technology.

Extraction of Hemicellulose and Lignin from Sugarcane Bagasse for Biopolymer Films: Green Process

A hemicellulose is any of several heteropolymers , such as arabinoxylans, present along with cellulose in almost all plant cell walls. Hemicellulose has a random, amorphous structure with little strength. It is easily hydrolyzed by dilute acid or base as well as myriad hemicellulase enzymes. In this study, lignin and hemicellulose was extracted from sugarcane bagasse using the ammonium hydrolys...

Extraction, Purification, and Characterization of Lignin Fractions from Sugarcane Bagasse

Three-step extraction of lignin fractions from ball-milled sugarcane bagasse (SCB) was studied with 96% dioxane, 50% dioxane, and 80% dioxane containing 1% NaOH at boiling temperature followed by purification to remove hemicelluloses. The total yields of hemicelluloses and lignin were 15.8% and 7.2% based on dried SCB, respectively. In the first step, 5.1% lignin (70.8% of the total extracted l...
